The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to join the Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) team. Reporting to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor, this senior-level role is responsible for conducting advanced inspections, leading quality investigations, mentoring junior inspectors, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure exceptional product quality and compliance.

This position is on-site Monday through Friday at our headquarters in West Los Angeles.

Management may assign or reassign duties as needed to meet business requirements.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Independently perform and document detailed inspections of complex products and assemblies, including:
    • Advanced electronic components
    • Cable harnesses
    • RF assemblies
    • Mechanical enclosures
    • Integrated sub-systems
  • Lead root cause investigations for recurring or high-impact quality issues in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and First Article Inspections (FAI) in alignment with AS9102 requirements
  • Train and mentor Level I and Level II inspectors on inspection techniques, tooling, and documentation standards
  • Serve as a quality liaison with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to drive rapid issue resolution
  • Assist in developing, improving, and standardizing inspection procedures and checklists
  • Review and validate inspection documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Act as a department point of contact during audits, customer visits, and technical reviews
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on inspection experience with electronic components, mechanical assemblies, or similar systems
  • Advanced proficiency with inspection tools and test equipment, including:
    • Multimeters
    • Calipers and micrometers
    • Microscopes
    • Torque drivers
  • Strong working knowledge of IPC standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, mechanical drawings, and routing diagrams
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating non-conformances and supporting corrective/preventive actions
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Current IPC certifications (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620)
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection standards
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits
  • Ability to serve as a quality subject-matter expert during cross-functional reviews
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, program management, and customer stakeholders
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements with minimal oversight
